Wellbeing
We know student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We believe children learn best when they feel safe, happy, and connected, and our small, close-knit school community makes this possible every day.
Because we know every student personally, we can respond quickly to their needs and provide the right support at the right time. Whether a child needs help with their emotional, social, physical, or learning wellbeing, our caring staff work together to help them thrive both at school and in daily life.
How we support student wellbeing
Supporting each student’s wellbeing is part of everything we do. Our small cohort allows us to build strong, trusting relationships and tailor support to each individual.
We do this through:
- teachers who help students feel welcome and included
- access to school counsellors, school psychologists and specialist staff
- programs that support health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour
- help for students who are new or changing year levels
- a caring and consistent approach to behaviour, focused on respect and responsibility
- staff who get to know each child and work closely with families
- developing health care plans for students
- open communication between staff and families to ensure every student feels supported.
At Euabalong West Public School, every child is known, every child is supported, and every child belongs.
