Additional learning support
At Euabalong West Public School, we ensure every student is ready to learn. We provide tailored, individualised support through one-on-one and small-group intervention programs. These programs are delivered by our university-trained teachers and our experienced School Learning Support Officers in our dedicated quiet learning spaces within the library.
Our School Learning Support Officers also work closely with teachers in both the K–2 and 3–6 classrooms to ensure every student can access learning and experience success.
Students do not need a formal diagnosis to receive support. Adjustments and interventions are made as soon as a need is identified and may continue for as long as required.
Support that fits your child's needs
Some students need extra help to build confidence and reach their full potential. We work in partnership with families to identify needs early, design learning adjustments, and provide targeted support that suits each child’s stage of development.
Our support may include:
- one-on-one and small-group intervention programs for literacy and numeracy
- targeted classroom support from our School Learning Support Officers
- adjustments to teaching, content, or pace to ensure access to learning
- regular check-ins to monitor progress and refine support strategies
- additional opportunities to build confidence, independence, and engagement.
We identify students who may need additional support through classroom observations, assessment data, and conversations with families. Adjustments are planned collaboratively with parents and carers and reviewed regularly to ensure continued progress.
If you think your child may need extra help, contact us.
